Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival April 16-18, 2010

It makes sense that this year's Coachella post should be delayed because after three days of so much going on in the desert it takes a little while before things are finally settled down and you can even remember what happened.  I swear the second I get back I have a week's worth of amnesia where every band blends together and then it slowly sorts itself out.  Full credit goes to my brain because lord knows I have nothing to do it with it.
I think my first year at Coachella will be remembered as being the best probably just because it was the first so it'll always have that going for it.  The bands that year were fantastic with a special gold star going to The Raconteurs who played an AMAZING set right at sunset that I'll never get out of my head.  Happily for me, we were treated to a little more Jack White action this year with the Dead Weather.
I also thoroughly enjoyed our solid Yo Gabba Gabba DJ Lance Rock kick off.  Nothing starts out a festival like adults screaming for plushies.
Most of the usual Coachella crew was there this year, with a few new additions who moved right in no questions asked.
Overall I think this year might have been my favorite lineup, but since my three Coachellas don't exactly make me an expert I'll invite any arguments.  This year shot by so fast but I'm glad I kept my nose out of my phone long enough to enjoy it.  I made the happy decision to leave the updates and picture posting to everyone else, stow the phone and enjoy and that's exactly what I did.
So one more Coachella under the belt and the full list of bands we made it to is posted below.  I'd give you a shorter recommendation list but honestly I'd recommend literally every single band I saw.  No one put on a bad set or even a halfway one so I don't think I could whittle the list down, but I'll try a little highlighting...
